Maximum Stability - Reduced Turnovers
Clement pioneered the wide-angle draft arms in 1976 to maximize stability,
allowing longer trailer lengths while minimizing the risk of turnovers. Clement
wide-angle draft arms give the maximum in lateral support to the trailer body
when elevated, plus Clement trailers also have a low center of gravity that
maximizes stability.

102-Inch, 22,500-lb., 5/8-Inch Wall Axles
in Combination with Air Ride Suspension
Proven on hundreds of thousands of trailers, 22,500-lb. axles feature common
inner and outer bearings. Combined with parallel spindle, both axle and bearing
life are substantially increased. With hub-piloted wheels, maintenance time
and costs are reduced. Clement's new Air Ride suspensions are lightweight,
softer riding, and provide maximum stability for either off-or on-road conditions.
What is Uni-Beam?
In its simplest form, "uni-beam" means locking the side sheets into a
beam
formed by the super-strong, rear double-beam crossmember (figure 1); the side
sheets (figure 2); and the headboard at the nose. The body is then bolted
to the sub-frame at the rear crossmember and at the middle and the front to
an 8-inch beam (figure 3) giving the 
total structure tremendous "strength-to-weight ratio" eliminating the need
for longitudinals and reducing
tare
weight. Finally, cross- members made of exclusive 4 x 5-inch "U-shaped" channel
extrusions on 16-inch centers lend support to a ¼-inch floor, all providing
a sturdy body structure.
